You'll learn how to build, operate, and troubleshoot the video systems that power modern productions.

What You'll Learn

Three days of intensive, hands on training covering every aspect of live event video production.

Day 1

Display Technology

  • LED Wall Systems Different pixel pitches, panel types, and processing methods. Learn how LED walls are built, hung, and configured.
  • Signal Flow and Processing Trace the path through switchers, scalers, processors. Understanding your signal chain is critical to troubleshooting.
  • Resolution and Refresh Rates Learn to read a signal, understand genlock, and why 59.94 and 60 are not the same thing.
Day 2

Content and Servers

  • Media Server Fundamentals Resolume, Disguise, Notch. Learn basic server operation, content playback, and console integration.
  • Content Preparation Receive, check, and prepare content for playback. Codec considerations, resolution, and output mapping.
  • Show Control Integration How video systems integrate with lighting, audio, and automation through timecode, MIDI, and network protocols.
Day 3

Camera and IMAG

  • Camera Operation IMAG puts the artist on the big screen. Learn basic camera operation, framing, and live performance discipline.
  • Switching and Directing Understanding what the director needs. See the switching side and learn how a multicam show comes together.
  • System Deployment Participate in a full video system load in and load out, understanding workflow and physical demands.

Comfort with computers and technology is essential. Prior video experience is not required, but you should be someone who can learn software quickly and troubleshoot logically. Video work involves both creative and technical thinking.
